Quality Manager
AERON Advanced Manufacturing, LLC, a plastic injection molding and plastic assembly company located in Mason City, IA, is looking for a motivated individual to fill an on-site Quality Manager position. The Quality Manager will ensure the final product has been built with compliance to legal standards, ISO 9001 and meets customer expectations by validating quality processes and establishing product specifications through measuring production, documenting evidence determining operational and performance qualifications, and maintaining the Quality Management System.
Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving issues; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
The goal is to help preserve our reputation by ensuring that our products and services are of the highest quality to drive sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- BA, BS, or equivalent experience
- Proven work experience as a Quality Manager (2 years)
- Experience working with Plastic Injection Molded Parts. (preferred)
- Experience in manufacturing quality. (preferred)
- Experience in working with customers to ensure Quality.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools, strong attention to details, analytical thinking, stress tolerance and organizational skills.
- Impeccable communication, presentation and organizational skills
- Quick and accurate decision-making ability.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize their importance and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Improve reliability of new product development processes
- Maintain company quality standards and ISO 9001 compliance
- Review products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made
- Oversee the product manufacturing process to ensure quality
- Actively participate in production meetings with the manufacturing team
- Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
- Devise and review specifications for products or processes
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
- Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback
- Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
- Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements
- Approve the right products or reject defectives
- Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
- Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met
- Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives
- Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.
